Bukit Penulisan Temple is located at Sukawana village, Kintamani, Bangli Regency Bali-Indonesia. It is about 2,5 hours drive by car or 73 kilometres from Ngurah Rai International Airport to reach it. It is an ancient temple referred to in 9-century inscriptions. Bukit Penulisan Temple consists of five temple complexes those are Panarajon Temple, Ratu Penyarikan Temple, Ratu Temple, Daha Tua Temple and Taman Danu Temple.

Pucak Penulisan Temple is situated at 1745 meters above sea level and about 3 km from Kintamani, one of the famous tourist destinations in Bali or 30 km from the capital town of Bangli Regency.

Bukit Penulisan Temple is one of the Hindu temples made in megalithic era. The unique of this temple are the Bale building, the ancient stone statues and Lingga from the 11th-13th Centuries. One of the statues is Queen Mahendratta. This Temple is a place for worship of Lord Shiva which is the manifestation of Almighty God. This temple has a high historical value and some of the interesting points that makes Pura Puncak Penulisan different from other temples. The Second concept is about the construction of this temple. Temple Construction reach 7 levels heights with the first and second levels connected by stairs. At the 3rd level there is Pura Dana and Pura Taman Dana, at the 4th level there is Pura Ratu Panyarikan.
