Medewi Beach is a beautiful coral beach and is famous as the Bali Surf Spot in the west part of Bali Island. One of the places of interest in Bali featured great swells that are ideal for surfing adventure, a panoramic view of the Indian Ocean and blessed by the breathtaking view of a spectacular sunset. Meanwhile, in the western part of the beach, many traditional boats docked on the beach where the majority of local people as fishermen. Meanwhile, Pekutatan District, Jembrana Regency, Bali-Indonesia and set beside the main road from Denpasar to Gilimanuk.
Medewi Beach Story
The name of Medewi Beach is taken from the village name. Medewi Village is actually become as an official village in Bali since 1912 where previously the village are fully covered by dry forest with with full of wild bush or “ket-ket” plantation (Balinese word) where the plantation is looks like thorn. People from west part of Mendoyo Village came to this forest and living together the slow down increase to the certain community. Now, Medewi Beach is well known even appointed as one of the tourist destinations in Jembrana regency. Some hotels or small accommodations, restaurant and bars are available for tourist facilities.
Bali Surf Spots
Medewi Beach is a black sandy beach with some part of shore fully covered by rock. It is well featured by great swells that is ideally for surfing therefore this beach is one of the famous surf spots in west part of Bali Island. many surfers from local until foreign countries are coming to this surf spot and enjoy the surf adventures. They can enjoy the long and fat swells with fast movement. Surfers from around the world really like to surf in this spot and enjoying the wonderful scenery of the beach. The greatest season that you must to know for surfing in this beach is in July – September since during this season the wave would be 3 till 4 meters heights.

There are several places of interest you can discover at this region includes Medewi Beach, Bunut Bolong, Perancak Temple, Rambut Siwi Temple and West Bali National Park.
